I upgraded to WP 2.3. So far, no significant changes although in the change log, there are quite a number of updates and added features.
I’m at home nursing the flu. I’m in pretty bad shape. On top of that I’m trying to complete an English paper that was due two weeks ago. This sucks! The flu sucks! Hope everyone else is doing well!

This is really out of left field but I thought I would mention it since many people who read this site often sit in front of their computers for extended periods of time.
I was having problems with my eyes becoming dry due to staring at a computer screen for an extended period of time. I went to my eye doctor and he recommended either glasses or to try these eye drops. The eye drops are made by AMO and they are call “Blink.” They are very good. I bought the Renu drops and thought those were the cream of the crop, the best, but I was totally wrong. They suck and the Blink drops are very good and wet your eyes for a really long time. I have to rewet them every few hours but they get the job done.

Alright, this is a first random problem I’ve received in a long time. I’m working on an IBM T41 notebook. The initial problem is that it will blue screen and also go to a blank screen at random intervals. It is extremely random in that I cannot seem to re-create it without having it run overnight, come back, do a few things and then it will happen; although, like I said, it happens very seldom and very randomly.
I had a eureka moment yesterday when I turned the unit on, had it boot up, lifted it up, and it froze. I soon realized I could re-create the problem by lifting the laptop up and making it freeze each and every time I tried.
This leads me to believe something may be loose inside.
I’m in the process of breaking it down. I’ll be taking it apart entirely today and just looking inside. I’ll re-seat the processor, I’ll change the processor, and I’ll do all that troubleshooting and soon hopefully figure out what is causing it.
But, in the case that you experience something like this, try lifting it up while it is running; if it freezes upon doing so, then you may be experiencing the same problem as I am.

I acquired a Linksys WRT54GL a while ago. I never got around to utilizing it to its fullest potential. That meaning flashing its firmware to something 3rd party like DD-WRT.
I have heard great things about DD-WRT. Such things like how stable it is, the features it provides and the capability that comes with going with a 3rd party firmware. My router started acting funny, it started crashing to the point where I could not get online and I’d have to reset the router. I realized that this is a very consistent problem with Linksys routers. I went ahead and downloaded the DD-WRT firmware from their website, www.dd-wrt.com, followed the directions in their wiki, and got to flashing the firmware.
It’s been about one week with NO crashes to report. It has been very stable.
I look forward to many more months of stability. If you have an older WRT54G or the newer WRT54GL, I highly suggest you look into upgrading the firmware to a 3rd party such as DD-WRT. I have to warn you though, if you’re not 100% sure on what you’re doing or aren’t even a little savvy, you may want to ask someone to help you.

Unbelievable. That’s all I have to say about this. They dropped the price not even two months after its initial release. That is unheard of in the technology world. I haven’t seen this happen in my lifetime and I doubt we’ll ever see this again. I so want to buy an iPhone now. It’s become much more affordable. I was telling a friend that the people who wanted to fake the funk were just going to buy the iTouch and pretend that it was the iPhone. But with the nice price reduction, what’s the point? I’d much rather have a phone + all the features of the iPhone than just something that looks and feels the same.
