Uninstalling Trend Micro’s PC-cillin Internet Security suite without a password

Go to your registry.

Delete this key: HKLM\software\trendmicro\pc-cillin\system

BE CAREFUL AS YOU’RE DEALING WITH THE REGISTRY. I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU EXPORT THAT KEY FIRST PRIOR TO DELETING.

Go to your control panel, add/remove programs, click on the Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security “Remove” and be done with it.

Toodles.

yea I got a better way of dealing with it without touching the system registry ……Look for the file Ofcscan.ini in windows folder and open it using notepad ….now find the line uninstall_pwd under heading like [INI_CLIENT_SECTION] …and type a # at the beginning of the line to comment it out.

Insert a new line saying Uninstall_Pwd=70

Save the Ofcscan.ini file and retry the uninstall. When it prompts you for a password, enter a ‘1′.

Thanks for the information about the registry, it worked a treat,
my client was unable to remember there password and this sort of thing makes it harder for technicians to repair there computers,
So its sites like this that help technicians out a lot
    And thanks again
