w70n51.sys blue screen while using wireless connection

Okay guys, I found me a good one. The file mentioned in the title, w70n51.sys is driver for an Intel wireless card. The card can be found on many makes and models of laptops. So far I’ve confirmed two Dells and one Sony to be affected by this problem. The symptom is that when you get online using your wireless card, blue screens occur. I looked through all three computer’s dump files and found that w70n51.sys is a nasty little bugger and has been causing problems for a lot of people. My only solution would be to update the driver if you can find one. Otherwise I’m still researching it and once I figure something out I will definitely let you all know.

I have an older Sony Vaio notebook and have been getting this Intel PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI adapter software (w70n51.sys)error and blue screen more frequently with the wireless and the update and support for this driver “is no longer available” I just had it refurbished with new hard drive and OS from Sony so I would liek to get this fixed – updated – any ideas ? Should I just get a new wireless card?
I have the same problem but on an IBM ThinkPad T41 which have been working perfectly for the last six years, which let me to believe this is some sort of Virus affecting the Drivers, which will explain the blue screen and an error 0X00000A
I had to completely reformat drive C and still the virus pops up, right after I have to bring the driver from a previously saved library. It seems to me the virus has placed itself in the USB drive I have attached to the computer.
I am trying to find any type of anti-virus to remove this one. I have been using Norton Internet Security but it seems not capable to addressing this issue as it keeps popping back in.
I’ve tried copying the driver alone onto the C drive to see if I can somehow isolate the problem.
Does anyone know of any other driver that can be used with the ThinkPad T41 fo4r these purposes. The ‘free-bees’ out there only want to scan the system to sell their products which do not include fixing the problem… so it appears.
I too have this problem … Exit:
The Windows system has been shut down to prevent serious damage.
But it is strange because I did not use anything but Photoshop …
My PC is an Acer TravelMate 290 … Please Help!
Great site haha, please keep posting some more interesting stuff
I have an older Dell laptop with Windows XP. It goes to the blue screen error A LOT. like everday at random times. only recently though has it been having the blue screen that says w70n51.sys. any way to get rid of it?

To solve this problem you can update your Intel Pro/Wirless LAN 2100 3B Mini Pci adapter drive from intel website.
