If you attempt to view events within the Event Viewer and you double click on them and nothing happens, perform this:
Go to Start, Run, type in, “Regsvr32 els.dll” without the quotes. Now try to see if you can view the events. You should be able to. Thanks to an MVP over at the XP newsgroup.
