AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ 3.0GHz Socket AM2 Processor OEM

Above mentioned processor now looks to be available via Newegg. This processor had a release date of sometime in February but somehow, someway, arrived a tad bit earlier.
Why is this so significant? It is the fastest AMD chip available @ 3.0GHz [dual core].
