Norton Internet Security 2007 open beta

I was browsing through the Symantec website and found that Norton Internet Security 2007 is now available for download through their open beta test.  If any of you have tried it, please feel free to let me know how bloated it is over last years and the years before that.  I’m sure there are some really useful features that they’ve implemented over the past year.

  • IE 6.0
  • 300 MHz or higher processor
  • 256mb of ram
  • 300mb of hard disk space

Supported email scanning

  • POP3 SMTP compatible email clients like Outlook & Outlook Express

Supported instant messaging clients

  • AOL® Instant Messenger 4.7 or higher
  • Yahoo!® Instant Messenger 5.0 or higher
  • MSN® Messenger 6.0, or higher

A friend of mine on message board forum installed it on one of his machines.  Let’s just say that it’s even more bloated than 2006.  I’ll be installing it on to one of my test machines on Monday.  I’ll report back with what I find.

Good music Friday for 7/21/06

I didn’t get anything new this week but here’s a great suggestion for those who want to try some “underground hip-hop.”  Check out Acelyone - Mz. Amerikka.  Awesome track.  None of that f* your mother, or I’ll kill you, it’s some of the better quality hip-hop if you know what I mean.
