Why you Should Boycott Blu-Ray and HD-DVD

The movie industry loves your money, but when it comes to letting you enjoy it’s works of art in the comfort of your home, the love all but disappears. This page details all the things that are wrong with the next generation DVD players, and why you don’t want any part of it. If you purchase a Blu-ray or HD-DVD player to watch high definition movies, you are essentially saying that you are perfectly ok with everything on this page, and that’s depressing. Therefore, I ask you to vote with your wallet and boycott Blu-ray and HD-DVD.

Good read.

MIX 06 key note

I am watching the MIX 06 keynote.  Bill Gates reports that Microsoft is actually working on the next two versions of IE.  He said that it will be rolled out much quicker than their OS releases and that we should see new and innovative features.  I’m glad that this is finally happening.  I was very upset a few years ago when Microsoft said they weren’t going to release a new browser until Vista and only for Vista.  That pissed me off to no end.  I’m glad that FireFox lit a fire under Microsoft’s ass.  They did something good and I can’t wait for more releases.

IE7 Beta 2 Refresh

Internet Explorer 7 beta 2 refresh has been released directly from Microsoft on March 20th, 2006.  So far the bugs that I know that have been fixed is the one where you would type into a text box and there would be no text whatsoever.  Be it in AIM or even a blog entry.  This has ben fixed — I honestly didn’t know it had to do with IE up until today lol.  If you find any other bug fixes, let me know!
