This album was produced by Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park fame and is his side project. He is Linkin Park’s producer as well. At times it sounds as though it is him rapping but I’m not sure if it’s a totally new group or if it is him. However, on to the review. The sound of the album has a Linkin Park feeling to it yet at the same time it has a more hip-hop feeling than ever. You may have heard the hip-hop sound I’m talking about on Linkin Park’s past albums but not as strong as it is on this new album of his. I can say that I like most of the songs on the album, very little filler. It’s all going to depend on your linking though. Again, at times, the rapping in this album sounds repetitive, as though the entire album is one long song. Maybe he was trying to construe that, who knows, but that’s what I got from listening to this album. Do you feel otherwise? Leave a comment.
