I took my Intro to Networking final today. I believe I scored at least an A. After I got through with the final, I walked outside and saw people standing around. They were all in my class and we discussed what we answered. I was suprised to find out that the answers that almost everyone I talked to was pretty much identical to mine. I was content and happy after that. I had a hard time at first with the binary to decimal and binary to hex conversion. However, something just clicked in my head and I eventually was able to do it. For this class’ mid-term I did not study. I vowed after receiving a horrendous grade that I’d study for the final. I followed through and ended up confident going in to this final that I was going to come out ahead. I’m glad I studied.

Mwave.com has the AMD Opteron 144 socket 939 64bit processor @ $163.00 + shipping. From what I’ve been reading this is not the infamous chip that can push 3.0GHZ so just beware of that before buying. However, I did read that this chip can push a heavy overclock. I’ve heard you can at least get a one extra GHZ out of this chip. It’s clocked at 1.8, so I would not be suprised if you got at least 2.7-2.8 with air cooling. If you buy the chip, report back in the comments section with the stepping and what type of overclock you got so other readers will know. Thank you.
Anandtech has a new article talking about Intel’s next dual core Pentium M processor, code name: Yonah. Dual core notebooks, starting in 2006, sounds especially good to me. How is Intel going to stay on track with a low power consuming processor when it moves to two cores on one CPU? Read the article and find out.
I finally fixed my hood latch. If you recall I had to saw off my hood because the hood release cable broke. Today I went to Honda and picked up a new hood latch release and a new hood latch cable. In order to remove the old and install the new hood cable I had to remove the front bumper, my driver side tire and my driver side fender. Boy was this a bitch. Numerous little screws, bolts etc, had to come off. I am dirty, hungry and tired. Anyway, I am almost done, I just need a hood and my car will be fully functional again.
FireFox 1.5 was released today.

In a previous post I had mentioned how I created a rule so that all the Sober e-mails were being sent to my Junk E-Mail folder and or deleted. I ran into a problem where they were being forwarded to my Junk E-Mail folder but not deleted permanently. I dug and dug and I finally found out that Outlook itself was sending those specific e-mails to my Junk E-Mail folder and by doing that, the rules will not run on the Junk E-Mail folder. So, I tested this, stopped the spam filter from running, and lo and behold, Outlook deleted every single message that came through that had Sober.Worm in it’s message header.
I’m not certain if this is a socket 939 or a 940. You buy at your own risk. I found this over at Anandtech.com.
So yesterday I finally signed up for a Costco membership. I came away spending less than a $100.00 luckily. I bought 200 clear garbage bags and some fruit snacks. I plan on going back on Thursday as that is the day they get their shipments. I’m looking to buy the Clorox wipes as I use them religiously at work. They were sold out as of 11/26/05. I also never got a good chance to shop around, I plan to thoroughly shop around and see what they have to offer.
I’m not too familiar with this particular series but I just found out that this game is in open beta right now. I think I’m going to try it out. If you try it, leave a comment, let me know how the game play is. I’ll try to update my site to include any open game betas in the right hand side menu.
